Happy Haunting Card Tutorial by Jenny Gropp

Jenny Gropp shares a tutorial today for a gorgeous Halloween card.

Jenny uses Banners and Tails Die Set, CL490 Tangled Web Clear Set and  Border Duo 2 Die.

 

I've been cutting up my Graphic 45 papers again! I used papers from the Happy Haunting Collection and with the little spiders dangling... I thought it was a great match to use the Itsy Bitsy Spider stamp! The stamp on the inside along with the Itsy Bitsy Spider are both in the Tangles Web clear set! 

 On the inside I added a few more layers using the Border Duo 2 Die to add the mini scalloped edge along the right side. 

The Itsy Bitsy Spider was cut out with the Banners and Tails Die Set. I curved the paper a bit and tucked it under the bow, adding a little dimensional silicone to keep the banner in the bent shape.

Halloween Card Tutorial by Jenny Gropp

We have an adorable Halloween card tutorial to share today from Jenny Gropp using Impression Obsession's CL490 Tangled Web Clear Set,  DIE002-Z Square Frame Square Die, DIE115-J Spider Web and DIE094-U Pumpkin Die.

 

 Of course I'm leading with Halloween! My most favorite kind of card to make!!! 

I created a little open window using acetate and the new fun spider web die!

 I took a picture for you of the two elements before I glued them. The spider webs are glued to the edge of the orange frame, that way there are no glue marks on the acetate to be seen from the other side.

 Here's the up close of the front only. The spider webs are on top and acetate is under them. That way you see a little texture too. the center panel is popped up with foam tape.

Here's the card opened up... You can sort of see the acetate. I added another orange frame and took the opportunity to add the pumpkin which covered up the glue that you could see through the acetate. A fun Boo sentiment and a spider to finish it off! I used Spellbinder's Grand Labels One to create the card base.

Halloween Window Tutorial by Kittie Caracciolo

We have a gorgeous dimensional collage card to share from Kittie Caracciolo using Impression Obsession Halloween images and dies. Kittie used the DIE-114-0 Halloween Set, DIE029-P Halloween Hill Die, DIE115-J Spider Web, DIE121-E Ghosts, DIE103-ZZ Lg. Window with Box and CC083 Cover-a-Card Distressed Brick.

With added light for extra spookiness!

I started by stamping the brick on the card base. I cut and assembled 2 windows. I used the window as a template to draw lines on the base to cut for the see thru window. I cut the opening with a craft knife and attached the front window over the opening with ATG adhesive. I attached the cobweb to the backside of the window opening and then attached the second window on the inside of the card to create a clean finish.

Next I cut and attached the silhouette images on the inside of the card.

I attached the window box under the window with two layers of mounting tape to use as a prop for the ghost, jack-o-lantern and bat. The spider was the final finishing touch.

I would hate to run into him.

Trick or Treat Card Tutorial by Jenny Gropp

 

Jenny Gropp shows us that Halloween cards can be beautiful. She uses the following Impression Obsession products for her card: H1921 Owl Tree, C14137 Sleepy Hollow, CL285 Clear Set Bump in the Night, CL136 Fall Borders, DIE083-K Cat Set, DIE018-V Border Duo 2, DIE001-Z Circle Shaker Frame

 

I started with the Owl Tree image as my "flying" part of the challenge. The background in the image was so dark... it made me think of Halloween, so that's the direction I took. 

 I cut the owl out using a circle nestie and sized to fit behind the Circle Frame Die. I airbrushed a little W5 around the edge. I also colored all other leaves and branches with the W1... leaving the owl only white.

 The Owl and Sleepy Hollow are popped up with foam tape for dimension. I really tried to NOT put a bow on it... but I caved. It just looked naked with out a bit of ribbon! I ragged the black seam binding to fit more in to the Halloween theme. I added a little glossy accents to the owls for a little extra shine.

Here's the inside with the branches stamped down the side. And I snuck a little black cat in the mix... every Halloween card needs a little black kitty.
