CHA IO DT Blog Hop Day 5

Welcome to the fifth and last day of our  CHA DT Blog Hop!  We want to thank all of you who participated in the hop.  Your wonderful comments about our new products and your enthusiasm really made it a success for all of us....and okay.....a lot of fun for me and we hope for you too!!!

For my card today I chose Alesa Baker's Angelic Tree, Cover-A-Card Dots, and Fir Tree die set.  I think because there is so much glitter, I had a very difficult time getting a good picture.  I created it by:

1. Stamping the image on white cardstock with Memento London Fog, painted with Memento Cottage Ivy marker, Spica At You Lipstick pen, and Twinkling H2O Warm Pecan.  Used Sakura glue pen for the edges of the snow angels and DecoArt glitter, added bow to tree.  Mounted with 3D pop-dots after the cardfront background was done.
2. I cheated on the CAC Dots background.  It is a leftover from another project.  It was stamped on white cardstock using VersaMark, Stick and Bond powder applied, heated until glossy, DecoArt Glitter applied, heated to seal.  Die cut and layerd as shown.  Leftovers were torn for snow around trees.
3. Used Spellbinders Labels 8 for the die cuts and as stencils for the white and blue cardstock as shown.

Winner Of Pack Your Bags Challenge

First we would like to congratulate the winner of our Pack Your Bags Challenge, Katie Bondroff.  Congratulations and happy shopping with the new images and dies!!

CHA DT Blog Hop Day 4

Welcome to the fourth day of our  CHA DT Blog Hop!  Our winner for Day 3 is Sandy at Simply Sandy Lee!  Congratulations, Sandy, happy shopping too.  You can check out our new Fall/Winter dies and stamps HERE, and the clear sets HERE.  Mitra has been introducing them at CHA at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, this week.

For my card today I chose Leigh Hannan's Ghost Espresso and the sentiment is Kalani Allred's Poisonous Potions (also available in clear set Have Broom Will Travel).  The background is Cover-A-Card Mesh Circles.  I created it by:

1. Stamping the espresso twice on white cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa twice, painted the first one with Twinkling H2O's.
2. Cut out the front of the matching plate, the label in the middle and the ghost "steam", painted, and mounted with 3D pop-dots.  Added Stickles Cinnamon as shown.  If you click on the photo you will see the label on the cup says, "Its Scary Good".  :-)
3. Stamped sentiment on white cardstock inked with Rich Cocoa marker.  Cut out using die from Curved Matting Basics, inked some of the tiny circles of the Mesh Circles stamp with Memento Tangelo and stamped the corners of the diecut sentiment.  Mounted on brown cardstock and used Stickles Cinnamon for the 3 dots.
4. Stamped white cardstock with CAC Mesh Circles and Memento Tangelo ink.  Used Curved Matting Basics largest die with it and for the matted brown and orange borders.
5. Added some ribbon and corsage pin with a coffee bean bead from my stash.

Welcome to the third day of our  CHA DT Blog Hop!  Our winner for Day 2 is Larissa Heskett!  Congratulations Larissa, happy shopping too, and I have emailed your Gift Certificate.  You can check out our new Fall/Winter dies and stamps HERE, and the clear sets HERE.  Mitra is also introducing them at CHA at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, July 22 through 25.

For my card today I chose Gary Robertson's Butterfly and Pumpkins and the sentiment is from the clear set Hydrangea.  I created it by:

1. Stamping the image on white cardstock with Memento Espresso Truffle twice, painted the first one with Twinkling H2O's.
2. Cut out the butterfly and leaf to the right, turned the leaf over and traced for the left side and drew the tip of the butterfly wing, attached with tape to each.  Painted painted both shapes, embossed on reverse side with stylus and mounted with 3D-pop dots.  Added black edge to image with Scripto pen.
3. Mounted on die cut from Spellbinders Polka Dots and white cardstock at an angle. Mounted that on black cardstock and then on Dotted Swiss cardstock.
4. Added black organdy bow, pearl stick pin with pearl heart bead, and 3 10mm pearl stickers.

Welcome to the second day of our week long CHA DT Blog Hop!  Our winner for Day 1 is SHartl!!!   I have emailed you with the information I need to issue your gift certificate.  Congratulations Shar, and happy shopping too!!!  You can check out our new Fall/Winter dies and stamps HERE, and the clear sets HERE.  Mitra is also introducing them at CHA at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, July 22 through 25.

For my card today I chose Leigh Hannan's Ghost Cone and Kalani Allred's Poisonous Potions (It can also be purchased as part of her Have Broom Will Travel clear set).   The background is Cover-A-Card Gingham.  I put it together by:

1. Stamped Ghost Cone on white cardstock with Brilliance Galaxy Gold 3 times.  All were heated with heat gun to dry.  One was for the base, one for the pumpkin and and cone, and one for the ghost.  All were painted with Twinkling H2O's.  Layers were trimmed, embossed from the back with a stylus and mounted with 3D pop-d0ts on base.  Added Stickles Orange Peel, Buttercup, Lime Green, and Cinnamon as shown.  (Could not resist those eyes!!!)
2. Stamped CAC Gingham with Memento Toffee Crunch and Tangelo Orange on white cardstock.
3. Used Spellbineders Curved Matting Basics A to cut the Gingham and as template for the Bazzill Dotted Swiss borders.  Mounted as shown.
4. Stamped the top and bottom portion of Poisonous Potions sentiment on white cardstock and cut out using one of the Curved Matting dies.  Mounted on the Bazzill Dotted Swiss cardstock.
5. Mounted sentiment and then the Ghost Cone.
6. Threaded ribbon through and mounted bow.   A fun card to give with a treat gift card for something delicious!!!

CHA IO DT Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the first day of our week long CHA DT Blog Hop.  We are using our new Fall/Winter  stamps and dies.   Mitra is also introducing them starting today at CHA at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, July 22 through 25.  The details of the challenge are below my card details and the DT blog list.

For my card above I chose Aislinn Adam's new Prairie Plants and a sentiment from clear set Hydrangea.  Below is how I put it together:

• stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and painted with Twinkling H2O's on white cardstock,
• used Spellbinders die as template to cut-out the image (a little Out-Of-The-Box technique around the edges when trimming).
• mounted flowers with 3D pop-dots
• added White Flower Soft to the left flowers
• used Glossy Accents on the yellow flowers and
• put a little FS in the middle of the flower and painted with orange.
• added 3mm pearl stickers to the corners and added yellow bow.
• stamped sentiment with Memento Olive  on a 1/2"X3.5" strip of white cardstock mounted and trimmed on the cardfront edge.

Tuesday T&T Triple Thanks

This card happened by accident.  I had something else planned, but I have a neighbor boy who comes over and helps me with my flowers and weeds.  He sees me out there and just starts doing what I do.  He saw my cards the other day and asked if I would make him one.  This is to thank him for his help.  His favorite colors are purple and yellow.  Here is how I put it together:

IMAGES:

1. Stamped Sketchy Flowers with Memento Pistachio ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock.  Used Spellbinders Majestic Elements as die for the Bazzill base and the Sketchy Flowers background.
2. Created die cuts from Basket and Grass dies using Bazzill Dotted Swiss colors.  The basket has a slit ready to take the Grass, (stems for the flowers).
3. Created 3 sets of Spiral Daisy, Layered Floral flowers and leaves.
4. Did 2 die cut sets of the Heart Stems.
5. Die cut a Sign Post for the sentiment and stamped it with "Heartfelt Thanks" from Thank You clear set.

ASSEMBLY:

1. Mounted the Sketchy Flowers background to the Bazzill carstock.
2. Inserted the stems (Grass) into the basket and mounted with 3D pop-dots.
3. Rolled the Spiral Daisies.  Kittie has a great tutorial on how to roll all of the IO spiral flowers.  See it HERE.  The only difference is I use Glossy Accents as glue.  I place it on the inside part as I roll and then on the bottom before I put a glue dot between the bottom and the round dot on the bottom.
4. Mounted the Layered Floral flowers and leaves with glue dots and 3D pop-dots.
5. Mounted white hearts on green heart stems and inserted in basket.
6. Used Stickles glitter glues for the centers of the flowers and Viva Decor Yellow Glitter for the hearts
7. Mounted sentiment and bow.  The grass on the basket is leftovers from Grass Border.

Have some fun, invite a friend to create too, have a stamping/die party and/or create your card using all IO dies/stamps, and then post it using the Inlinkz at the bottom of the 05/16 challenge post.  If you have questions please email me.
