  4. May Arts ribbon was added to the center of the background.

Tuesday T&T Angelica

Angelica 1
All of the things I did were so easy I didn't do any photos.  I fell in love with Angelica and the background after making THIS card.  All of Angelica's image is embossed from behind with a stylus on an embossing pad.  This is how I created the rest of the card:

Image:

  1. Stamped Angelica twice on white cardstock.  Painted one image and accented wings and halo with glue and glitter.
  2. Painted hair and arms on second image, cut out and mounted with 3D pop-dots.
  3. Die cut Border Duo 1 loop eyelet die on white cardstock.  Cut out skirt and used as a pattern for the loop eyelet.  Traced, cut out, and mounted with one 1/16" pop-dot in middle and taped sides and waist.  Used the eyelets as a pattern for the wings and cut out with X-Acto knife.
  4. Turned arms over and added Glossy Accents down the center of each arm.  When dry mounted and used stylus in the middle to crease arms.

Sentiment:

  1. Stamped Happy Holidays.
  2. Used the die cut from Mini Rectangle Tags 2 as a stencil and traced around it to give more room for the words.  Ran edge on inkpad to accent it.  Punched hole.

Background:

  1. Cut a white piece of cardstock to 3 1/8"X5.5".
  2. Stamped Cover-A-Card Ornate Snowflakes twice on an 8.5"X11" piece of white cardstock length-wise with Memento Summer Sky (you could also use Fluid Chalk Ice Blue too).
  3. Cut a piece of the Ornate Snowflakes to 3 1/16"X5.25" and mounted on the white piece.

Card Base:

  1. Folded a piece of white cardstock to make a 4.25"X5.5" card.
  2. Die cut one end (width) with the eyelet half from Border Duo 2.

Assembly:

  1. Mounted white satin ribbon to background and mounted on cardfront as shown.
  2. Mounted Angelica with 3D pop-dots.
  3. Mounted Bow from Bow-Easy to ribbon.
  4. Drew silver cord through bow, threaded tag, and tied knot.
  5. Accented with pearl stickers on snowflakes, skirt, wings, and tag, and added heart stick pin.

Angelica 2
Inside Top and Envelope:

  1. Used the smallest snowflake die from Snowflakes for 6 snowflakes on Ornate Snowflake leftover background.  3 for inside and 3 for envelope.
  2. Trimmed 3 to make them smaller and different.
  3. Mounted inside and on envelope as shown and added Viva Decor White Ice Pearl pen to centers.  On the envy, if you flick from the back the pearl flattens so it goes through the mail if needed.

Our Favorite Quote/Saying Challenge is still on until tomorrow night at 10 p.m. EST.  For more details go HERE, and then join us in the fun.  Thanks for stopping by to look and I'll see you back here day after tomorrow for DT Thursday!!

T & T Emboss Resist With Jack & Jill

JJ1
When I saw Claudia's Jack & Jill and Witch Is In, I thought 'Hansel and Gretel' for some reason.   And for the witch's house part of the new Border Duo 1 looked perfect for the trims I needed.  Here is what I did:

JJ2
Images:

  1. Jack & Jill were inked with Memento Cocoa Brown, stamped twice on white cardstock, painted with Twinks, and cut.
  2. Stickles Diamonds glitter glue was added to Jill's wings and Spica AtYou Pitch Black glitter pen was used for her skirt and hair band, and for J&J's eyes too.
  3. Jack's pumpkin head and Jill's skirt and head band were cut out, painted and mounted with 3D pop-dots.
  4. The bottom branches from Candy Corn Tree were stamped with Memento Cocoa Brown, painted with Twinks, and cut out.
  5. The star wand, Halloween bag, and candies were also painted and cut out.

JJ3

House & Grass Border:

  1. Stamped CAC Wood Grain on Natural (off-white, ivory, cream) cardstock and cut with House Die.
  2. Border Duo 1 was cut with  a 2 3/4" tall piece of natural cardstock (for roof),  mounted on the house die cut, and trimmed from the back side.
  3. Added Witch Is In with Memento Cocoa Brown, went over it with Spica AtYou Pitch Black glitter pen, and Glossy Accents.
  4. 2 Door and Window die cuts done with Natural cardstock, glued to more cardstock for backing, and filled bottom areas of door with blanks from die cut.
  5. Painted open areas of windows with Twink Lemon Yellow, added a little Stickles Diamonds glitter glue (frost), and mounted.  Added beige pearl sticker to door for handle.
  6. Used the Border Duo 1 with green cardstock for the grass and set aside.

Background:

JJ4

  1. Inked CAC Spider Web with VersaMark and stamped on white cardstock.  Added clear embossing powder and heat embossed.
  2. The photo shows 3 different types of sponge tools (sponge, dauber, or brayer) to ink over the embossed areas with Memento Nautical Blue.  I used the sponge.

Assembly:

  1. Mounted house on the left side of the web BG.
  2. Placed 'grass' to see where to cut for the sidewalk.  Used fingernail to crease on each side, cut, and mounted.
  3. Placed die cut blank from door for sidewalk.
  4. Mounted Jack & Jill with 3D pop-dots.  Added candies, bag, and star wand and embellished with Glossy Accents.  Hematite glitter glue pen used for handle of bag.  Yellow star pin and black organdy bow was added.  Stickles Yellow glitter glue was added to stars on wand and pin.
  5. Mounted card front to white cardstock as shown.
  6. The envelope was handmade using THIS format.  The front was masked for area I didn't want inked with the Spider Web stamp.  The flap was so easy with the Border Duo 1 die by laying the envelope flat and lining up with the die.
