I have been dying to use the new Cover-A-Card Chevron stamps. For this card I used on Thin Chevron. Below is how I did that 'shakin' background and the rest of the story too!!
Main Images:
- Pumpkin Stack was stamped with StazOn Saddle Brown on natural cardstock and painted with Twinkling H2O's. Alcohol inks or dye ink pads can be used too.
- The image was trimmed on the inside and outside as shown.
- The Bare Tree Die was put through the Cuttlebug with dark brown cardstock and attached down the trunk with double sided tape to the main image.
Background:
- CAC Wood Grain was stamped on white cardstock with Memento Toffee Crunch. Thin Chevron was stamped going north and south with Memento Bamboo Leaves on the Wood Grain as shown.
- Another Thin Chevron was stamped with Memento Bamboo going east and west as shown.
Sentiment, Embellishment, & Assembly:
- The sentiment from Social Greetings 2 was stamped with Memento Tangelo on white cardstock. Fiskars Deckle scissors were used to trim around it as a rectangle. The edges were roughed with a scissors edge. Memento Toffee Crunch was used around the edges with a sponge dauber. It was attached to the trunk of the die cut tree with a gold craft pin.
- The first background with Wood Grain and Thin Chevron was used as the trim for the single stamped Thin Chevron as shown.
- The Thin Chevron was mounted with lines going north and south. I thought that was more Halloween and in line with the sentiment. That was mounted on the same color dark brown I used for the tree.
- The Pumpkin Stack with "What's Shakin'" was mounted using 3D pop dots. (I even use the left over edges from the 3D pop dots. They were perfect for the frame.)
- Viva Decor Bronze Glitter Liner Pen was used for the eyes of the pumpkins and the sentiment 'dots'. Stickles Diamonds glitter glue was used here and there on the leaves and tree!
- Leftover Thin Chevron and the leaves from inside the image were used for the left hand side of the card.
- Supplies are listed at the bottom of the post.
Hope you enjoyed seeing how I did the card. If you have questions please feel free to email me. Below is the information for our next challenge day after tomorrow!

Love the green chevron!! And the cut out Gary Robertson stamp looks awesome, great coloring and love the tree die beside it. Funny and appropriate sentiment as well, did you choose that one because you shook the tree and all of the leaves fell? Great Fall card. Thanks for sharing.
