Wonderful News

We have some news items that are fun to know and to see too.  The first is that Mitra will be at the Adventures In Stamping Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Convention, at the John C. Knight Center, in Akron Ohio on April 24-25.  If you want to know more about it, you can click on the title.  If you are near there stop by and say hello. 

And if you haven't seen the Mega Mount^TM in action with the Cover-A-Card^TM stamps, now is your chance.  She will be using some new stamps she designed, for use with the Mount, for double stamping to create your own great Designer Paper layouts and more!  As soon as they are in the online store I will let you know so you can see them there too!

IO Fan Wins Poster Contest

The next piece of exciting news comes from an IO customer who has been teaching classes and entering her Impression Obsession creations in contests too.  Her name is Miranda Degenaars and she lives in the Netherlands.  She demonstrates and works at stamp events for the Posthumus Stamp Shop.

This challenge and contest was to create a card in the colors of a poster to be used at a scheduled stamp event.  Miranda created the card below using Paisley Tree.  Below her gorgeous card is shown.  Below that it is shown on the poster advertising the event.  A very beautiful card Miranda. Thank you for sharing your design with us.  Some really beautiful techniques you have used to create the card.

The Winner For Our High School Challenge Drawing

Random.org has picked the number 2 as our winner for the High School Colors challenge.  Our new winner is Mandy Chou.  Congratulations, Mandy!  Your gift certificate for our online store is on the way.  A big thanks to all of you for playing and making it so much fun.

For those of you who would like to prepare early for our next and future challenges, the dates and challenges are listed in the sidebar over to your right.  The rules for have changed recently.  Below are the NEW guidelines:

• Use at least one Impression Obsession stamp.
• Provide the name(s) and/or stamp number(s) of IO stamps only with your email to me.  If you have a problem finding this information, sometimes I can help.

Two More Lovely School Color Cards

I've often heard that blue is a 'yes' color.  If high school colors have anything to say about it, it definitely is this week.  Check out the "High School Colors" below, and the Design Team has their cards all ready for you too:

The first is from Karen McAlpine at Dreaming and Creating.  She chose Rose Hips to create her beautiful design.  I really like how she used the brads to the left too!  Very "chic", Karen, with that lovely organza ribbon.  Thank you for sharing with us!.

 

Next we have the gorgeous card submitted by Anita Madden, whose gallery is HERE for details.  Her stamp of choice is the Daisy Vase, which can also be purchased as part of a Clear Set, Flowers For You.  A really stunning card, Anita, with that beautiful rich Navy Blue.  Thank you for joining in the fun today too!

Last, but not least, from Cindy Eaton, who has chosen Winter House to create her Winter wonderland.  A very creative card with beautiful snowflake corners and beautiful use of the punched snowflakes too.  In addition I hope you all can see the embossed textured background.  Thanks so much for joining in the fun, Cindy, and good luck in our drawing.

Can You Remember Your High School Colors?

Now take a look at the Customer cards we already have below:

The first is from Yvonne Whittington, whose gallery is Here.  Her stamp is called Tree Birds.  I think her high school colors were Blue and Silver.  Very pretty, Yvonne.  Love those butterflies and how you did your fence too!  Thank you for playing.

 

And next we have Mandy Chou, who entered 2 beautiful cards.  The first one is Butterfly Scene.  What a lovely butterfly and wonderful words to go with it.

 

For her second card she chose to use Sunflower Frame. What a gorgeous background to go with that beautiful flower.  Thank you Mandy for playing this challenge.

 

Last, but not least, for this first challenge post is Bernadette Tolley's beautiful card. She used Iris.  It looks like two of you were definitely on the same wave length.  It's a wonderful job of embossing with Silver EP too, Bernadette, and close-up your adding gloss to it makes it look like Cloisonne!

Aren't the DT and Customer cards great!  Beautiful job ladies and I wish you all good luck in the drawing too.

Mitra May Be

Coming to a town near you sometime soon.  This next weekend she will be in Allentown, PA this Saturday and Sunday, April 10 and 11, for their Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival.  Be sure to stop by her booth to take a look at all of the great stamps and the Mega Mount too.

If you haven't seen the Mega Mount^TM in action with the Cover-A-Card^TM stamps, now is your chance.  She will also be using some new stamps she designed for use with the Mount for double stamping to create great Distressed Designer Paper layouts!  As soon as they are in the online store I will let you know so you can see them there too!

If you would like to check out the classes that are being taught at the fair go HERE.  It looks like they are even teaching classes on Friday too.  There is even one by The Paper Cut that is using Impression Obsession materials.
