Two Big Pieces Of Information

The first is one more week until our next challenge on Mar 4 - Easter Theme. You can find the rest of our challenge dates in the second sidebar to your left to help keep your creativity flowing.  Now take a look at part of what is in store for you today:

 

The image above is only a sneak peak at the really wonderful technique that DT Member Dina Kowal has planned for today on her blog, Mama Dini's Stamperia.  Her first post is already done.  It's all about alcohol inks for backgrounds, dye inks, etc., and of course her beautiful card, etc.  The card is posted and she is going to have a tutorial up later today too.  Let me know what you think.  I have just been over there and I am definitely going back to check out the tutorial.  Look at her tabs on the top of her blog and check out her other tutorials.  The lady is a born artist.  Thanks, Dina, for sharing this with us!

Our next 2 entries are from Valonda Leichty at Asterios Art.  She shows how using one stamp can produce 2 totally different, yet gorgeous, backgrounds.  Her stamp of choice for both backgrounds was Fiesta Flower.  Her words are Rest Relax.

Her second card uses the same stamp for the background and and a Cuttlebug die cut for her greeting.  Very creative thinking on both cards, Valonda!  Thank you so much for your beautiful entries, Valonda.

The card below was sent by Sandy Hulsart at Creative Moments With Sandy.  She really had fun with the Cover-A-Card^TM stamps, as you can see.  She used Cover-A-Card^TM Greenery, Thick and Thin, and Small Dots for her backgrounds.  She chose her words from the Clear Stamp Set Anytime Sentiments.  How creative and so beautiful too, Sandy.  Thanks for again being part of our fun.

Less Thank A Week

Until our next challenge.  You can pick up a lot of tips and techniques for your cards by reading the posts on the people's blogs that have joined in the challenges.  To show you what I mean, let's take a look at one of the DT blogs.  IO DT member Daniela Dobson is really creative with Cover-A-Card^TM stamps, and that talent includes using them with Designer Paper too.  Go HERE and see how she used them in her last IO post.  To see all of her wonderful IO creations, Look in her Labels Tag in her right-hand sidebar for Impression Obsession and click on it.  Here is a sample of her other art to get you interested:
