And it's also called fiesta time!! Like this stamp by Leigh Hannan called Fiesta Flower H2330. I think it may also be a little Bohemian looking. How's that for variety, with a touch of Gypsy tossed into the mix.
The image was stamped with Brilliance Galaxy Gold for each layer of the leaves and the flower on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Super Smooth cardstock. There are 7 layers. Each area was inked and stamped separately. After some cutting with scissors and an X-Acto knife, and some painting with Twinkling H2O's, each layer was mounted with 3D Pop Dots. That was highlighted with Art Institute Mellow Yellow in the areas where there were circles. It wasn't quite deep enough, so a Yellow Sharpie helped. The inner veins of the leaves were left white for the effect. Some Basic Grey light yellow Porcelain DP was put through the Cuttlebug using the Spellbinders Largest Scallop to cut and emboss it. The layered image was mounted on that.
II. BACKGROUND A -
The purple cardstock behind the image was done with the Fiskars Give It A Swirl Border Punch and was planned. I did a template to get the measurements and then did the actual one seen here. The length of one side was punched first (5 images). Then a separate border piece was punched and held up to the light with the first to see where I wanted to start the width portion and how far down I needed to go so it would connect like you see it on the card. Then the punch was turned over and 3 images were punched across, followed by the other end (width). The length of the other side was done last. I always keep my templates so when I do the frame again I have something to check for size and those tricky corners. The whole piece of cardstock used for the template is taped together, so the exact size for the next piece is known. It helps eliminate mistakes. (The punched out scroll pieces were saved for the envelope and the inside top portion of the card.)
II. BACKGROUND B -
The background with the stripes is 4.0"X5.25. The corners were put into the border punch with "point" first and looking at the punch turned over. You will see what you need to do with it when you are looking at it from the back of punch. Try it on scrap first.
II. BACKGROUND C -
The last background is just a standard 4.25"x5.5". I mounted the image and die cut on the punched border frame and then mounted that on the DP and then the solid purple background.
III. Embellishments -
The ribbon is from Michaels $1 bin. I used the new Bow-Easy to make the bow on the bottom. Here are the instructions. For the slip knot on top you can find a really great video Here. The title says bow, but it really is a knot.
The pearls are White 3 and 5MM by Mark Richards. There is a single 3MM in the center of the top portion of the flower, but it isn't showing up really well. They have also picked up the color of the BG paper and look a little gray in the photo.

Just gorgeous, you are amazing Shirley! And might I add...you can certainly take something that looks quite complicated and explain it so even I can grasp how it was executed....THAT is also why you ROCK!
Thanks so much!
Blessings, Maria
