Two Cards!

F2169 Ocean Fish

The image is Ocean Fish by Leigh Hannan.  It was stamped on White cardstock with Brilliance Galaxy Gold, heat dried with a heat gun, then painted with watercolors.  Spellbinders Large Circle and Large Scalloped Circle dies were used for the image and the scalloped background.  Foil glue was applied to the fish and the air bubbles, followed by applying a transparent pearly foil.  A dimensional clear finish was applied over that.  2mm yellow rhinestones were also applied to the top rear of the the fish.  Brilliance Pearlescent Yellow was sponged around the edges.

F2169 Ocean Fish 2
The words are from the Leigh Hannan Clear Set Angelfish.  They were stamped with Brilliance Galaxy Gold.  Spellbinders Large Oval and Large Scallop dies were used for the words and the scalloped background.

The background for the cardfront is Bazzill Swimming Pool on the bottom and leftover remnants on top, from White cardstock used with a Cuttlebug Floral Borders die (It's what is left after you get your die cut).  They look like waves to me!  After I mounted them on the blue I attached that to Laid white cardstock.  It has a presses lined pattern to it.

A hole was punched in the word oval and the May Arts ribbon was applied.  Both the fish and words were mounted on the cardfront with 3D Pop Up Dots.  A bow was tied and mounted.  Orange 2mm and 3mm rhinestones were applied as a final touch.

F2302 Pond Dragonfly 2

The image is Pond Dragonfly by Leigh Hannan and was stamped on White cardstock with Brilliance Galaxy Gold and heat set.  It was painted with watercolors.  Stickles Yellow glitter glue was used to highlight the centers of the Lilies.

F2302 Pond Dragonfly 2a
The background is Dreamweaver Water Lilies and was embossed using the Cuttlebug, the Spellbinders emboss pad, and the same White cardstock I used for the image.  The Lilies were painted with watercolors and highlighted with the Yellow.  It was mounted on Stardream Amethyst text weight paper.

The center strip was punched using Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch and mounted in the middle.  The ribbon is by May Arts.  The image was mounted using 3D Pop Up dots.  The bow and button were mounted last using glue dots and then the yellow 2mm rhinestones were added.

It's A Mother's Day Challenge

G2293 Garden Heart 32

The Design Team is doing a Mother's Day Challenge and I almost forgot.  This is one of the fastest little cards out of the gate.

The image is Garden Heart G2293 and was stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Beige.  Then I used the reinker bottle and a Niji Waterbrush to do the flowers and the leaves.  I didn't have any stamps for the words that would fit, so I painted them in with the Niji waterbrush too.  I used Rangers Liquid Pearls White Opals for the centers of the flowers and the little fronds around the center, etc.

The background is Spellbinders Impressabilities Flowers.  I put it through the Cuttlebug, using Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, and then I put the embossing plate over the same cardstock and sponged the areas that weren't embossed with Pearlescent Beige.

The card is a Tri-Fold and the background was mounted on Curious Metallic Cappuccino.  I trimmed around the heart and then mounted it on the left side using 3D Dimensional Dots.  I used them on the other side too, but put removable Scotch Tape on the bottom of the dots so they hold when closed, but can be reopen again and again.  The bow is May Arts and the pin is from JoAnn's sewing section.  The beads are Czech and in the bead section of most hobby stores.

For some reason my camera isn't doing well with colors lately. The Beige and the Cappuccino are really a lot softer colors that this. Hope you like it and hope you will stop by the Design Team Members sites below to see their wonderful creations:

    Garden Heart Wish for Spring

    G2293 Garden Heart
I love every season, but now I can honestly say I am ready for Spring!  I created the above card with that in mind and using one of Leigh Hannan's new creations, Garden Heart G2293.  It was stamped with Brilliance Galaxy Gold and then watercolored with Twinks.  Rangers Liquid Pearls White Opal was used to highlight the ends of the fronds.  The flowers were stamped again and mount with 3D dots.  I trimmed around the heart.  I left the space in the middle blank so I could add the right words later.

    G2293 Garden Heart 2
The White background with the Pink Flowers was embossed using Richelieu's Cross of Flowers embossing template with the Cuttlebug.  The flowers were painted with the same colors as those on the heart.  Slits were cut as shown to thread the ribbon.

The background paper is Anna Griffin Pink Paisley DP.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  The corner brads are Gold (Brass) bead caps.  To flatten them I gently worked them out with a pair of Jewelry Chain Nose Pliers like the ones below.  It took about 3 minutes.  Not long.  I started from the edge of the cap and worked around going deeper as I went.  I flattened the whole cap with the pliers all the way around in the end.

I mounted the Garden Heart using 3D pop dot on the embossed background.  Then I mounted that on the DP.  The Mark Richards 2 and 3mm Pearls were mounted as shown.  The ribbon was tied in a Martha Stewart bow.

That's it.  I want to thank you all for your comments and thanks for stopping by to look and share!
