Our Anything But A Card Challenge

A reminder that the DT has decided to post new creations on their blogs on Thursdays when challenges are not done.  Check here on those Thursdays to see which DT member is posting on her blog.  Daniela Dobson was our first Thursday Host and if you missed her wonderful post you can see it HERE.  I am so excited to see what they create next.

On to our Anything But A Card Challenge!!  We are doing something a little different today because it's an ANYTHING BUT challenge.  We have DT member, Julie Koerber, sharing her beautiful Anything But A Carddesign here.  Her creativity will surely get you ready to check out the great creations by the IO DT members and the customers too.

Julie shows us just how easy it is to create a little treat box, just in time for Easter using some of Alesa Baker’s newest stamps and a few sheets of decorative paper.

Notacard3
She used this darling chocolate bunny atop a cupcake called Happy Wishes, and colored it up with Copic Markers. Here’s how she created the box:

The lid was created by taking a 6-1/2” square and scoring it 1” all the way around; the base was created by taking a 8-1/4” paper and scoring it 2” all the way around. Create the box flaps with the help of some scissors, and tape them down to create your box and lid. Deck out your box with some crochet lace.

Inside, you’ll find chocolate eggs and a fun, flag style sentiment perfect for Easter (stamp is called Multiplied Blessings).

She tells us these are super easy to whip up and dozens could be created in just an afternoon!  Does that look yummmmmy or what!!

Notacard2
Thank you so much, Julie, for sharing this great idea that can be used for lots of different reasons at work for a sweet thought, for children, and everywhere.  A really "Sweet" and creative way to start our Anything But A Card Challenge.

Now take a look at the great projects on the links below shared by our DT and our customers at the bottom of the post!

Today we are using the Inlinkz thumbnail format for customers posting their "Anything But A Card" entries.  A new Challenge Guideline widget has also been posted in the first sidebar to your right.  If some of you still have questions about this you can EMAIL ME.  Please note I have extended the time on Friday to 10 p.m. EST.

I can't believe how excited I am feeling right about now.  I will be checking out your entries as you post them below using Inlinkz and I will be notifying you all by email tomorrow night with the winner and that post will go up then too.

So.....have fun out there.  Check out the DT creations for inspiration and the linkz below too!!  Thanks for stopping by to share and look too!
